Cannula, Nasal Oxygen
The Veterans Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description as a replacement for VA Specification X-1331c which is cancelled.
Salient Characteristics. Soft, lightweight, disposable, with soft nares, straight or curved (non flared), green, with attached tubing designed to avoid kinking and crushing and is not less than 78” (198cm) long, individually packaged, 50 packages per case.
(1) with elastic band to fit snugly below ears
(2) over-the-ear lariat style with centered adjustment (no elastic band)
Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description, and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices and is the same product sold in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
Regulatory Requirements.
Recovered Materials. Offerors/contractors are encouraged to use recovered material in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practical.
Federal Food, Druq and Cosmetic Act. The offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by their subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of cited Act and regulations promulgated thereunder, and the requirements of all other applicable Federal and State statutes and regulations, as appropriate.
Packaging, Packing, and Markings. The items shall be packaged in accordance with normal commercial practice and packed to assure acceptance by common carrier and provide product protection against loss and damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. The shipping container shall be in compliance with National Motor Freight Classification and Uniform Freight Classification. Shipping containers shall be marked as specified in the contract or order.
