COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
CANNULA, LARYNGEAL
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to Federal Specification GG-C-124.
This commercial item description covers three type of metal laryngeal cannula suitable for the suction or the aspiration of the bronchial tract.
Salient characteristics:
Types. The three types of laryngeal cannulae are designated as follows:

Characteristics:
Type I (Abraham). The type I cannula shall be curved, flexible laryngeal cannula of the Abraham design with bulbous tip. The type I cannula shall be in accordance with Figure 1.
Type II (Jackson). Type II cannula shall be a curved aspirating tube of the Jackson design. The type II cannula shall be in accordance with Figure 2.
Type III (Yankaver). The type III cannula shall be a suction tube of the Yankaver design. The type III cannula shall be provided with a removable tip.
