WIRE, ELECTRODE, PATIENT
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to A-A-0051390(DM), 6 May 1986.
This commercial item description covers a patient electrode wire suitable for use with push pin receiver cable for electrocardiograph monitoring equipment and electrode pads.
Salient characteristics:
The color coded set of three disposable patient electrode wires shall have a snap connector on the distal end and a “push pin” type connector on the proximal end. The wires shall be for use with a “push pin” receiver cable for electrocardiograph monitoring equipment and electrocardiograph electrode pads.
The electrode set shall be a minimum of 18 inches (45.72 cm) in length.
The electrode set shall contain one black, one white, and one green coded snap connector for easy placement identification.
Workmanship. The patient electrode wire shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing ten sets, each set containing three disposable wires, as specified, constitutes one unit.
