The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers disposable Murphy-type tracheal tubes commonly used in human patients in the practice anesthesiology and in respiratory care.
Salient characteristics:
Style and design. Except as specified below, shall be in accordance with American National Standard for anesthetic equipment-tracheal tubes, ANSI 279.14 or ASTM F1242-89. The tracheal tubes shall be the Murphy-type and shall be of the following types and sizes:
