AUDIOMETER (Dual Channel)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description covers a dual channel audiometer suitable for use in audiometric testing for air conduction, bone conduction and speech.
Salient characteristics:
The unit shall be a dual channel, fixed frequency type, diagnostic audiometer capable of presenting controlled individual pure tones of speech to each ear independently and to both ears in such manner that tores to each ear can be individually controlled. The audiometer shall have built-in warble tone and monitor speaker and shall provide trimpot calibration.
The audiometer shall be capable of precisely performing at least the following speech and pure tone hearing tests:
a. Pure tone air conduction, 250 Hz to 12 KHz.
b. Pure tone air conduction with noise masking, to include a broad band as well as narrow bands of noise.
c. Pure tone bone conduction, 250 to 4KHz to include the discrete frequencies of 250, 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000 Hz.
d. Pure tone bone conduction with masking to include a broad band as well as narrow bands of noise.
e. Stenger.
f. Automatic Pulse Tone.
g. Live voice speech (diotic and monotic).
