TUBE, STOMACH, SURGICAL (Levin)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-T-36612(2) which is cancelled.
This commercial item description covers three sizes of reusable Levin stomach tubes suitable for aspirating, tube feeding or irrigating.
Salient characteristics:
Classification. Tubes covered by this specification shall be of the following sizes as specified in Notes.

General. Shall be non-sterile, reusable, single-lumen stomach tubes of the Levin design as shown in Figure 1; as an alternate, the proximal and shall be provided with an integral or attached funnel type connector.
Style and design. The stomach tubes shall be a continuous tube and shall comply with Figure 1 and the requirements specified herein.
