PAD, LEG HOLDER
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description covers a disposable, foam leg holder pad designed to provide stability of the thigh during arthroscopic procedures.
Salient characteristics:
The disposable, foam arthroscopic leg holder pad shall be designed to provide stability of the thigh and prevent the leg from slipping while resting in a leg holder during arthroscopic procedures and manipulations of the knee.
The overall dimensions of the pad shall be approximately 1-1/2 inches (3.8 cm) thick by 2-3/4 inches (6.98 cm) wide by 38 inches (96.5 cm) long.
The pad shall be high density, fabricated of two layers of foam. The inner layer shall be constructed of an open cell foam. The outer layer shall be constructed of a closed cell foam to prevent the pad from turning in the leg holder. The foam, shall be free of voids.
The pad shall have a hook and pile type closure.
The pad shall be compatible with commercially available arthroscopic leg holders.
Workmanship. The leg holder pad shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing twelve leg holder pads, as specified, constitutes one unit.
