COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
FORCEPS, HEMOSTATIC, CRILE
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description Sheet as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-F-37224 which is cancelled.
The complete requirements for procuring forceps, Hemostatic, Crile, shall consist of this document and the issue in effect of Commercial Item Description A-A-53400.
Salient Characteristics.
Style, design and dimensions. This specification covers the following types of Crile forceps:
Type 1 – Straight
Type 2 – Curved
The forceps shall be in accordance with defense Personnel Support Center drawing #24300.
Notes:
a. Intended use: The Hemostatic Forceps of the Crile design covered in this Commercial Item Description Sheet are intended for accomplishing Hemostasis in delicate tissue during surgery.
b. Copies of Commercial Item Description A-A-53400 may be obtained by writing Commanding Officer, Navy Publications and Forms Center, (Code 1032), 5801 Tabor Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19120.
