COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
FORCEPS, HEMOSTATIC, ROCHESTER-OCHSNER
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description Sheet as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-F-36942 which is cancelled.
The complete requirements for procuring forceps, Hemostatic, Rochester-Ochsner, shall consist of this document and the issue in effect of Commercial Item Description A-A-53400.
Salient Characteristics.
Style, design and dimensions. Shall be a straight Rochester-Ochsner forceps of the following sizes:
Size I 6-1/4 Inch
Size II 7-1/4 Inch
Shall be in accordance with Defense Personnel Support Center drawing No. 20292.
Notes:
a. Intended use: The Hemostatic Forceps of the Rochester-Ochsner design covered in this Commercial Item Description Sheet are intended for accomplishing Hemostasis in delicate tissue during surgery.
b. Copies of Commercial Item Description A-A-53400 may be obtained by writing Commanding Officer, Navy Publications and Forms Center, (Code 1032), 5801 Tabor Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19120.
