COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
PAPER, CHART, FETAL-UTERINE MONITOR
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description covers chart paper used for recording outputs of fetal monitors such as Corometrics Models 111 and 112.
Salient characteristics.
The paper shall be a packet of z-fold chart paper, with identification labels, for use with Corometrics fetal monitor, Style 111 and 112.
The paper shall be of a uniform color and thickness. The paper shall be heat and pressure sensitive to assure clear accurate recordings.
Each Z-fold section of paper shall be 15.2 cm long by 12 cm wide. At a recording rate of 3 cm/min, each packet of paper shall provide eight (8) hours recording time.
The paper shall have two separate, parallel chart grids. At the recording rate of 3 cm/min, both grids shall have time divisions at ten-seconds and one-minute intervals. One scale shall be used to record heart rate, the other uterine activity.
The heart rate shall be scaled in a range of width from 30 to 240 (beats per minute) with 10 bpm divisions. The grid shall have a method of quantifying the variability in a heart rate tracing.
The uterine activity shall be scaled in a range of width from 0 to 100 mm Hg. The grid shall have a uterine activity unit scale.
Workmanship. The chart paper shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair their serviceability.
