NEBULIZER, INHALATION THERAPY APPARATUS
Plastic, Jet Type
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers a disposable inhalation nebulizer for use with patients requiring oxygen therapy.
Salient characteristics:
The inhalation nebulizer shall be a disposable, refillable plastic, 350 ml to 400 ml bottle and jet type nebulizer system.
It shall have an oxygen dilution type valve permitting dilution rate selection of 5 settings including 35 percent and 100 percent with 3 settings in mid range not less than 5 percent or greater than 30 percent between settings.
The design shall prohibit pressure within the jar from exceeding 4 psi provided that the flowrate induced to the unit does not exceed 15 LPM (flowmeter is not included with unit).
The nebulizer shall have an oxygen DISS inlet, female, swivel, to accept a standard low pressure connection No. 1240 (9/16-18-UNF-2A). The outlet shall be compatible with standard 22 mm ID tubing
Workmanship. The nebulizer shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing fifty individually packaged nebulizers, as specified, constitutes one unit.
