COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
TIP ASSORTMENT, UTERINE CANNULA (Plastic, Disposable)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-T-36236 (DM) which is cancelled.
This commercial item description covers a disposable, plastic, uterine cannula tip assortment suitable for use in uterotubal insufflation.
Salient Characteristics:
General. The tip assortment shall consist of (1) one large and (4) four small tips.
Material. Tips shall be molded of polyethylene.
Style, design and dimensions. The tip assortment shall be in accordance with Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC) Drawing No. 20543 for style, design and dimensions.
Instructions. Tips shall be provided with instructions describing proper methods for sterilizing. In addition, information cautioning the user against sterilizing methods that would be harmful to the tips shall be included.
Workmanship. Workmanship shall be first class throughout. Tips shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair their serviceability. Tips shall be free from flash, rough areas, sharp edges, or foreign material.
PRODUCT QUALITY LEVEL.
Visual and dimensional examination. Tip assortment shall be examined to verify that the design, construction and workmanship are in accordance with applicable requirements.
Materials. The supplier shall be responsible for performing tests to assure that materials are in accordance with requirements specified.
