COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
ELECTRODE, PACEMAKER
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers a disposable, pre-gelled, adult, pacemaker electrode.
Salient Characteristics:
The pacemaker electrode shall be a disposable, single use, pre-gelled type suitable for use with an external, temporary, non-invasive cardiac pacemaker in either a packing of defibrillating mode. The electrode shall have a large surface with high impedance and shall be available in adult size. The adult size electrode shall have a conductive surface area of at least 80 square centimeters. Each electrode shall be clearly marked for either front or back use and shall have a metal snap connector.
The outside of the package shall have a clearly marked expiration date and necessary storage information in accordance with current manufacturing practice.
Each electrode pair shall be sealed without defects.
Workmanship. The pacemaker shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing twelve pair of individually packaged pacemaker electrodes, as specified, constitutes one unit. Each individual package shall contain two electrodes.
