COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
PAD, ELECTRODE, DEFIBRILLATOR
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers a disposable, pregelled, non-drying, self-adhesive, defibrillator electrode pad for use during patient defibrillation and cardioversion as an interface between patient and defibrillator paddles.
Salient Characteristics:
The defibrillator electrode pad shall be pre-gelled and suitable for use during patient defibrillation and cardioversion as an interface between patient and defibrillator paddles. It shall be a disposable pre-gelled pad measuring 4-1/2 inches by 6 inches. Each pad shall be non-drying and self-adhesive, composed of an electro-conductive gel supported by porous non-woven fabric.
The pads shall be packaged two pads (one pair) per individually sealed package. Unit of issue shall be ten pairs of electrode pads per package. Both the individually packaged pairs and the package of ten pairs shall be labeled with an expiration date. Each package shall contain directions for use.
Any additional information (caution statements) shall be within the accordance of the FDA.
Workmanship. The defibrillator electrode pad shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing ten pairs of defibrillator electrode pads, with directions for use, as specified, constitutes one unit. Each package shall be packaged two pads (one pair) per individual package.
