COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
ELECTRODE, PACEMAKER
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers a disposable, pre-gelled, pediatric pacemaker electrode.
Salient Characteristics:
The pacemaker electrode shall be a disposable, single use, pre-gelled electrode suitable for use with an external, temporary, non-invasive cardiac pacemaker in either a pacing or defibrillating mode. The electrode shall have a large surface with high impedance capability. It shall be available in a pediatric size with a conductive surface area of between 30 and 60 cm2.
Each electrode shall be clearly marked for either front or back use and have a metal snap connector.
The outside of the electrode pair package shall have a clearly marked expiration date and necessary storage information in accordance with current manufacturing practice and the Federal Food and Drug Administration.
Each individual package shall contain two electrodes. Unit of issue shall be six pair of electrodes per package.
The pacemaker electrode shall conform to all pertinent sections of American National Standard for Pre-gelled ECG Disposable Electrodes, ANSI/AAMI EC12-1983
Workmanship. The pacemaker electrodes shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair their serviceability.
