ELECTRODE, ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to A-A-0051494 (DM), dated 12 June 1986.
This commercial item description covers an electrode, electrocardiograph, suitable for monitoring stress tests.
Salient characteristics:
The electrode shall be a disposable, soft foam pad. The front of the pad shall have a snap in the center suitable for attaching lead wires. The back shall have a 2 cm pregelled center with a silver/silver chloride electrode for conductivity. There shall be a 1.5 cm adhesive band circling the electrode for good tissue contact. The back of the pad shall be protected with a plastic covering until ready for use. The electrode pads shall be packaged ten to a package and forty packages to a container. Each package of ten shall have an easy open notch.
Workmanship. The electrocardiograph electrode shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. �Package (PG). One package containing400 electrode pads, as specified, constitutes one unit.
