SCISSORS, TENOTOMY
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description as a replacement for Federal Specification GG-S-167A which is cancelled.
The complete requirements for procuring scissors shall consist of this document and the issue in effect of Commercial Item Description A-A-54210.
Salient characteristics.
Style, design and dimensions. This specification covers the following type and classes of ophthalmic scissors.
Type III. Tenotomy
Class 1 – Straight, 4-1/4 inches.
Class 2 – curved, 4-1/4 inches
The scissors shall be in accordance with DPSC drawing numbers 20436.
Notes.
1. Intended use. Ophthalmic scissors of the Iris design covered in this Commercial Item Description Sheet are intended for aiding in surgical procedures on the eye.
