This commercial item description covers a patient simulator designed to assist biomedical electronics specialists in the inspection and repair of multiparameter patient monitors.
Salient characteristics:
The unit shall be a portable hand-held patient simulator capable of producing the following simulated physiological parameters with ± one percent sensitivity, resolution and accuracy full scale:
a. Normal sinus, pulse train, VFiv and paced rhythms.
b. Calibrated dynamic arterial and PA blood pressure waveforms of approximately 120/180 mmHg.
c. 13 calibrated static pressures from -200 to 200 mmHg.
d. 4 Respiration rates with 3 different lead selections.
e. 3 Respiration impedance variations and APNEA
f. Blood pressure.
The simulator shall provide a full 12-lead ECG simulation with variable and discrete ECG rate control with calibrated output amplitudes.
The electrocardiograph simulator shall be provided with 3 temperature simulation outputs with a range of at least 30 – 40°C (86°F – 104°F).
The unit shall have a vinyl carrying case or equal for protection.
