The dissectors shall be in accordance with Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC) Drawing No. 24580.
Finish. The finish of the dissectors shall be mirror, satin or matte. The matte finish shall exhibit a uniform nondirectional surface texture equivalent to that produced by lightly blasting the prepared surface with fine abrasives under pressure.
Passivation. The dissectors shall be properly passivated.
Corrosion resistance. The dissectors shall show no evidence of corrosion or plating of copper when tested in accordance with ASTM Designation F1089.
Identification marking. The dissectors shall bear the manufacturer’s name or registered trademark and the word “stainless”. Dissectors of foreign manufacture shall bear the name of the country of manufacture.
Product Quality Level.
Visual and dimensional examination. Shall be examined to verify that design, construction and workmanship are in accordance with applicable requirements.
Materials. The supplier shall be responsible for assuring that materials are in accordance with requirements specified.
Workmanship. The dissectors shall be free from cracks, pits, burs, sharp edges, scale, rough areas, corrosion or any other defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Each (EA). One dissector, as specified, constitutes one unit.
