The bag shall have a minimal thickness of 0.003 inch. The bag shall have the following properties and requirements.

The bag shall not be ripped, torn, or otherwise unusable. The bag shall be clean and free of external contamination. Each package of bags shall be supplied with enough bands for closure of each bag.
The bag shall be tested using the following ASTM standards.

Workmanship. The biohazard disposal bag shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). Size 1 and 4. One package containing size 1 or size 4 bags constitutes one unit.
Package (PG) Size 2. One package containing two hundred and fifty size 2 bags constitutes one unit.
Package (PG) Size 3. One package containing two hundred size 3 bags constitutes one unit.
Package (PG) Size 5. One package containing seventy-five size 5 bags constitutes one unit.
