Hardness. The cutting blade shall be uniformly hardened to the hardness range shown below for the applicable composition when tested in accordance with ASTM Designation E18 or E92.

1/ Using a 30-kilogrsm force and a superficial diamond penetrator.
2/ Using a 2-kgf load.
Corrosion-resistance. The razor shall be capable of being sterilized fox surgical use. There shall be no evidence of injury to the razor, such as corrosion, scumming or pitting when boil tested in accordance with ASTM Designation F1089.
Identification marking. The razor, the removable tooth guard and the blade rib shall be permanently and legibly marked with the name or trademark of the manufacturer or supplier.
Workmanship. The razor and blades shall be free from defects such as nicks, feathers, pits, jagged edges and burrs which detracts from their appearance or impairs their serviceability.
Unit. Each (EA). One razor (type I) as specified, constitutes one unit. Package (PG). One package containing five blades (type II, Style 1) or fifty blade [type II, style 2), as specified, constitutes one unit.
