7. Synchronization indicator: Marker on cardioscope shall identify synchronizer trigger point. Defibrillator shall discharge within 30mS after marker. Marker shall appear on ECG recorder when in delay mode.
The instrument shall switch back to defibrillation mode after each cardioversion attempt.
Enerqy level/charqe indicator. The defibrillator shall be supplied with a digital energy level/charge display which shall clearly indicate to the user two discrete functions:
1. One function shall digitally indicate the level of energy, in joules, either available for delivery into a 50 ohm load prior to discharge, or that has been discharged into the patient, calibrated as if discharged into a 50 ohm load. This measurement/display shall be performed at every available energy setting, accurate to within plus or minus 15 percent, or 4 joules, whichever is greater.
2. The other function shall digitally indicate, using the same display, the actual energy, in joules, when delivered into the defibrillator’s built-in 50 ohm test load. This measurement/display shall be performed on at least one designed energy setting of 160 joules or above, and accurate to within plus or minus 15 percent, or 4 joules, whichever is greater.
Paddle requirements and types.
1. The defibrillator shall be provided with the following two types of paddles:
* External adult set.
* Pediatric set.
2. The following additional two types shall be available options.
* Internal adult set
* External anterior/posterior set.
3. All four types shall connect/disconnect rapidly to/from the defibrillator chassis.
